About True Made Foods
True Made Foods produces a healthy line of America’s favorite condiments for health-conscious parents and food lovers. As part of their mission to help America eat better, the products have a cup of real vegetables in every bottle to give families healthy alternative products to their meals.

Products and Ingredients:

Kevin Powell and Abe Karmack founded True Made Foods in 2014. The idea started when Kevin’s wife tried to hide vegetables in his ketchup so he would eat healthier after gaining some weight over the years. When Abe was introduced to the idea of vegetable-based ketchup, he was instantly hooked.

Like many parents, Abe struggled with kids’ demands for sugar-based syrups and products. He was a stay at home dad who spent a lot of time trying to make sure that his kids were eating as healthy as possible.

True Made Foods uses carrots, spinach, and butternut squash to naturally sweeten their line of ketchup, BBQ sauce, and hot sauce to drastically cut back on sugar.

The BBQ sauce is a revamp of a smoky Kansas City Classic and has a smoked wood flavor. The sauce is designed to be used on and off the grill and has no synthetic flavors. It contains half of the calories than of all the major brands with 25-50% less sugar. The sauce was the Winner of the Best BBQ Sauce Award at the DC Metro Cooking Show BBQ Bash and the Gold Plate winner at the Food + City Challenge in Austin, Texas.

True Made Foods Ketchup contains three times more Vitamin A, is twice as much finer, and has a high quantity of Vitamin C, iron, B6, and calcium compared to other leading brands. It is made of tomatoes, vinegar, water, sugar, carrots, butternut squash, spinach, salt, all spice, citric acid, and onion powder.

Besides vinegar, every single ingredient in the Veracha Hot Sauce is a vegetable and is Paleo certified. The sauce starts with a light and natural sweet flavour and ends with a nice heat. It is made up of tomato puree (tomato paste, water), jalapeno, butternut squash, carrots, garlic powder, distilled vinegar, onion powder, spinach, salt, and cayenne pepper.
