Shurky Jurky compiles dry meat snacks from beef, pork, turkey and bison that are 100% grass-fed, pastured and free range in Portland, Oregon. The company supports local farmers and ranchers that follow organic practices.

Shurky Jurky is great for people who have active lifestyles or have specific eating diets. All of the meats are fresh, high quality cuts and fat trimmed. The turkey and bison are processed in a UDSA facility.

 

One of the staple ingredients is pineapple, which naturally preserves the jerky, and can enhance the body's health by helping the healing process from the Vitamin C. Pineapple also contains the bromelain enzyme, which promotes good digestion. 

 

The farmers who follow organic practices do not use pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers, growth hormones and antibiotics. All of the products are gluten-free, paleo-friendly, and Whole30 compliant. 

 

The Whole30 program is about cutting out all of the psychologically unhealthy, hormone-imbalancing, gut-disrupting, inflammatory food groups for a full 30 days to let your body heal from the negative effects of the unhealthy food.

 

These are the ingredients for Shurky Jurky: Pacific NW meat, fresh pineapple, vinegar, anchovy paste, various spices including black pepper, cayenne pepper, guajillo chili pepper, onion, garlic, tamarind, and smoked paprika; and either, Bragg Liquid Aminos (Traditional Marinade) or Coconut Secret Aminos (Whole30 Marinade).

You can do a monthly subscription at $44.99 a month or an annual subscription at $480.00 a year. 

 

When you select your plan, you will choose: 

 

1. Your type of meat: beef, pork, turkey, or bison

2. Cut of meat: cowboy and city slicker. Cowboy is a slightly thicker and drier meat cut with the grain for an old-fashioned style chew. City slicker is a slightly thinner and tenderer meat sliced across the grain and softer to chew.

The different packs and quantities range from $9.99 to $119.99.

There were more reviews from online bloggers than other customers and they give very positive feedback on the flavors of the marinade and like the smoky and saucy flavors that are not made from soy sauce or other chemicals. 

 

Some bloggers and customers said they did not like the taste that much while some people said the taste takes time to get used to and can grow on you over time.
