Food Poisoning

I got food poisoning from chicken that was recalled. I was never notified of the recall and Factor continued to send contaminated meals to their customers. I became violently ill less than 2 hours after eating a meal.

How do you know that the chicken was recalled? I had a similar experience in the last 2 weeks.

Good Food, Bad Delivery

We have received 5 weeks of Factor 75. The food is good, however the delivery service they use is awful. 2 weeks ago my food wasn't delivererrd till after 7pm even though they told me it would be there by 4pm. Today the delivery person left the box in the middle of my driveway! I have specific set instructions to leave the box on my front porch. This delivery service does not utilize its own drivers.. its almost like a door dash thing. Anyone deliveries your meals. If Factor used a more reputable delivery company I might still get meals from them, but as of now I have canceled my membership.

False Offer

I received an "offer" (1 free add-on worth up to $20.00) but when I added an item for $19.99 I noticed that the price went up ($19.99, so it wasn't free). I called the company and they asked me for the screenshot of my account and I sent it, but they never responded. They sent my box without the "free item" and for a second time I received the same offer, and exactly the same, nothing happened. I bought 18 meals each time, but they don't really care about customers.

Factor 75 is a terrible company. I ordered their batch of six meals and then after receipt of those, I canceled in a timely manner and precisely according to their prescribed cancellation method, so that they would not send me any more after this batch. But they simply ignored me and continued to send meals and charge my credit card. I notified them at least six times, but they ignored me for months, until they finally did cancel. I asked my credit card company to reverse the charges, and they contacted Factor 75 about this. But Factor would not reverse the charges. They also lied and said I had picked some meals. My credit card company said they could do nothing to help, since I had, in fact, ordered that first batch of meals from them. I was charged over $400 for meals I did not choose and I did not ask for.

I did not realize it was subscription based when I ordered the trial. Two days after the first order arrived, I find I am being charged for the next order, which is due next week, I tried to cancel but they told me it was too late, I will be out of town and will not be here, Why would they send a second shipment when I haven't even tried the first? They said they could not cancel but the second shipment is not due for 5 days and I just received the first shipment 2 days ago. 5 days should be enough to cancel...

I got my first box Tuesday. 4 days ago. I haven’t even tried one of these meals. My son tried one while I was at work yesterday and said it was good. The rest of my family refuses to eat them. That’s fine they will eat it eventually but in the meantime I was charged for next weeks delivery.

On Thursday, 2 days after my first delivery. I called customer service because I have a freezer full of meals and no room for more can they please hold off a couple weeks? They got my almost $200 for 18 frozen meals I would hope they could stall shipping a couple weeks. No such luck so this box of food is going to probably rot on my porch or be eaten by my local homeless people and dogs.

Never again. Maybe I’m petty but this inflexibility is too much for me. Good luck with this service they lure you in with 50% first time then charge you for the next one before you even get it in your freezer. Money grubbing. I tried to leave a review on their website literally cannot find a place to do so if anyone else has any luck let me know!

DO NOT DO Business with this company. I urge everyone who has had the kind of experience I am about to write or other bad experiences to also report it to the better business bureau, it's the only way to stop them from doing bad business.

I had my account on suspend as I only use it when I am travel nursing. They delivered a box that should never have gotten ordered to my last assignment address.

I contacted them as soon as I got the email. They said they could not re route the box to my home address because the label was already printed, ok but it was not sent out yet.

All they had to do was reprint the label. They refused. Then I spent two days and talked to 5 people before they agreed to refund my money for that box I was never going to receive.

After waiting 10-15 days for the refund to hit my account, which it never did, I called again. They could not provide any document that they processed the refund. Instead they said my account was a charge off and I needed to contact my bank, somehow they did not let the refund go through. BS, banks do not stop money from going into your account. I called my bank and they saw no attempt of a refund.

So I had to cancel my card and dispute the charge to get my refund. It will take another 10-15 days for the bank to make a decision. This company listed my account as a charge off so they could keep the money and now the bank has to loose the money and I have to get a new card and contact all my creditors again.

The bank told me to report them to better bus. bureau. This is dishonest and not the way you do business or treat your customers. I was going to try them again because they finally gave me a refund but now I will report them and NEVER use this service again. Please do not trust them to do the right thing!!!

The food is good quality if pricey. But beware: one of our deliveries was running more than 24 hours late and the customer service tried to pan me off with a $5 delay credit. Remember that this is fresh food. It's not worth food poisoning.

Do Not Order if you have food allergies

The meal I had was good… until I went into anaphylaxis. I later looked and saw that there is a disclaimer on the site which says something to the effect of meals are prepared in a way which exposes you to all 8 major food allergies. I have a severe allergy to shellfish and seafood, as a whole, so I’m guessing cross contamination occurred, as I don’t have any other food allergies. It would have been nice to have received this information up front.

If you are a picky eater don't order from them

I wanted to try a meal delivery service. Decided to try Factor. Cons mentioned pricey, but that was OK because they offered gluten free.

Before you can actually view the products they offer you have to give them All of your info. If I had stopped there I wouldn't be writing this review. But I really wanted to try a delivery service.

The options weren't for me. It wasn't anything to do with them, I'm just too picky. So I immediately canceled. 6 days later I get an alert from my bank that this company took money out of my checking account. Nope, nope, nope.

So I called to request a return of funds and cancellation of service. I was told that even though they acknowledge that I canceled there was a glitch in their system and that sent my order through anyway and that since the cut off to cancel my order was yesterday the only thing I could do was call my bank and request a stop payment.

Of course, bank can't stop a payment on a debit charge. So I have to file a fraud claim and hope I get my money back that way.

Please don't even think about this company. You have to create an account and put your credit card info in before seeing the food options. Unfortunately I got scammed just like some other people in these reviews. I decided I didn't like any of their options and canceled my account within 10 mins of opening it. They charged my card anyway stating it was too late to make changes to my order. I did not order anything - They charged my card without my authorization and sent me 10 meals I didn't even want. And the people who say these meals are huge are lying - they are tiny.

I had to input my credit card just to create an account. Once I created an account, I found out that they only offered Tuesday deliveries so I immediately canceled my account without placing an order.

I then called Factor to ensure my account was canceled. The rep assured me that everything was canceled and no charge will be placed.

Several days later, I found a charge on my credit card. I called again and was advised that the charge would be refunded. Now, I just got an email stating that my food is on it's way. I never even ordered food!! This company is a complete SCAM!!!

Charge you for services before you have ordered

Stay away!! This company charges your card the minute you input the credit card numbers. You haven't even ordered a single item and they have already taken your money. At that point there is no way to cancel and they DO NOT respond to your request via any of their means of contact.

Very horrible food and a sleazy attempt to sign consumers up to a "subscription!" I never ordered a "subscription" for this garbage! It's a craft and very tricky way to attempt holding people and their money hostage! File a lawsuit immediately!

I don’t know why so many people are writing bad reviews. I have had wonderful meals that just needed a little salt added. Perhaps they are not choosing the right food. Spicy will be spicy and if you don’t like spicy, change the order. It’s simple to do.

Food Delivery Doesn't Get Any Better Than This

Factor 75 delivers delicious meals. The meals are fresh, not frozen. They are really tasty, and each meal has its own unique flavor. The variety keeps the selection from getting boring. I order from them just about every week a la carte.

The meals are higher in protein than what you can buy in the store. They are healthy.

I live in a hot part of the country, and the meals have arrived cold.

My only criticism is sometimes the broccoli and asparagus is not as fresh as I like, but I am very demanding when it comes to that, so I often supplement the meals by adding my own steamed vegetables.

Like I said, Factor 75 does an excellent job at providing very satisfying meals for people who don't have time to cook.

Fake reviews?!?

I feel like these are fake reviews...

I love the food, the portions are good, and everything is spelled out in kindergarten terms as to when the next shipment of meals should be picked out. They even send you reminder emails days before letting you know how much time you have left to change or hold your order.

Haven’t had to deal with customer service, so I can’t voice an opinion there, but I like the idea that I know the ingredients are organic, grass fed, etc...

I’m extremely happy that I chose this place over all the other options, and I did a lot of research before I made my choice, but hey... I’m just one person and not everyone is going like the same things :)

Customer service support is useless. I cancelled my subscription in October 2022 and received a confirmation with my final billing date and mean delivery date. I was hospitalized and/or in a physical rehab facility for several months (currently in January 2023). All my bills were auto pay so I wasn't very concerned about my accounts. I received a text from a neighbor telling me that there was a perishable box at the complex door, so I checked my accounts. PayPal was being charged weekly for meals that I could not have received. I called CS and was told hat the charges were valid since the meals were mailed. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told he would call me within the hour. I tried two more times and was told the same things. I never have heard from a supervisor or anyone else. The meals were easy, small, and okay--not worth the nearly $20/meal I was paying.

I felt compelled to review Factor75 because I read these reviews before I ordered and it made me hesitate because there are so many negative reviews. But after researching many companies, I went with them anyways because they are organic, Paleo, and/or Keto. I am so glad I ordered because I love the food! But I do have some insight into why some people may not.

First, I am not new to healthier eating. If you are expecting the meals to taste really strong, you know the chemically fake flavor that fast food or some other pre-packaged meals have, you may not like these. Don't get me wrong, these meals taste amazing to my husband and I, but it's certainly not what people on the SAD are used to.

Secondly, about the cooking. I feel like a lot of people are probably microwaving their meals and I would not recommend that. The meals are excellent in the oven. That being said, the cooking instructions are not very accurate. We cook our meals for more like 15 minutes in the oven, not the 5 that is on the package.

Lastly, I have had no problems with the ordering process. I felt like everything was explained well, I have had no "surprise" charges or orders, and find it very simple to pause on weeks I don't need food.

Working 12hrs a day, it is nice to know there is always a healthy meal waiting for you. I see the above reviews, which I would challenge most. They do alter the choices for you but they provide e-mails for you to: change selections, limit the quantity and skip weeks. I have not had a bad meal to date after 25 meals. Many of us have enjoy different types of food so there will be some that do not appeal to you. I have not tossed any away due to this but I prefer some over others.
