About Desert Farms Camel Milk
Founder Abdul Wahab discovered his passion for raw camel milk while he was visiting his family in Saudi Arabia. The milk wasn't available in stores and only Bedouins sold it. Since then, he has been on a quest to start a camel milk revolution.

Desert Farms' product line is now featured in over 40 Whole Foods stores throughout California and starting to be distributed elsewhere. Americans are beginning to embrace the variety of benefits of camel milk.

Products and Ingredients:

Camel milk has been used for centuries as a natural remedy in the Middle Eastern, Asian, and North African cultures. Nomads and Bedouins still rely on its nutritional and medicinal properties.

Camel milk can easily be digested by lactose-intolerant individuals and has a variety of health benefits including the fact that camel milk:
  • Has three times the amount of Vitamin C than cow's milk
  • Is Rich in Vitamin B and iron
  • Helps with the treatment of autism, milk allergies, tuberculosis, Crohn's and Disease
All Desert Farm camels live in small family farms in the USA where the average herd is about 6 cams. All of the camels are pasture-raised and eat a complex diet of hay, grass, and alfalfa pellets.

Desert Farms offers raw and ‘gently’ pasteurized camel milk. Their camel milk is pasteurized at a low temperature to preserve the fabulous, fresh flavor of camel milk. The low temperature would destroy dangerous pathogens, if there were any, but not the helpful bacteria that our bodies need.

The company offers camel milk in the following ways:
  • Raw Camel Milk
  • Raw Camel Milk (frozen)
  • Raw Camel Milk Kefir
  • Pasteurized Camel Milk
  • Raw Camel Milk Colostrum
  • Soaps

Cost:

All of the products range from $6.99 to $195.00. Customers must order the Raw Camel Milk in packages of six because of the shipping and packaging requirements.

Customer Service:

Contact Desert Farms at +1-(310)-430-2096. You can connect with company on Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Flickr, Vimeo, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.

Online Customer Reviews/Complaints:

The only online reviews that are published are on the company's website where customers have given the product very high ratings for the milk's great taste, excellent customer service, and helping with some health issues such as intestinal problems.

There were a few complaints about delayed deliveries.

Competitors and Alternatives:

There are not too many companies producing raw camel milk at the moment. However, people can become a member of the Camel Milk Association and buy camel milk products.

Worst tasting milk in the world!

Let’s call it what it is...yuk! Even with allergies this makes you not want to consume anything. Better to drink water.

Horrible customer service and delayed in shipment

Have been waiting for the milk for 2 months now. They kept giving us nonsense excuses. We are hoping to get our money back.

Milk is great if you can get it.

I have ordered from Desert Farms a few times. Shipping is a bit slow but their website will tell you if it's on back order before you buy. I made a purchase on Sunday, 11/5, of 2 tubs of powder and there was no indication of a back order. There was no shipping info later in the week and I inquired about the status. They said there was a distribution change and it would ship the following week. I checked later the following week and they said there was still an issue and it would ship the next week. I followed up the end of THAT week and was again told it would ship the following week. I received an email 11/21 saying they were out of tubs and would ship packets instead and couldn't ship until the following week because FedEx was closed on Wed. I asked for status again today, Monday 11/27 and was told because FedEx was closed most of last week, it would ship today. I don't know what Fed Ex is closed the day before or after Thanksgiving. I checked their website & Fed Ex was fully up & running those days, including Saturday. I am not holding my breath on it being shipped today.
